This assumption goes beyond the legal obligations that a company has, it represents the first steps that a company makes voluntarily to improve the quality of life of its employees and their families, of local communities and of society in general.
CSR means taking in consideration the legal, ethical, commercial or any other expectations that society has towards companies, and making decisions that balance the needs of all who have a certain role inside a company.
Therefore the charitable actions of a company should, preferably, represent solutions to real needs of the community rather then one-time “sponsorship” actions that have no effect on medium and long term.
