Alexandrion Group Romania produces and markets premium alcoholic beverages that are distributed across all over Romania but also on international markets.
The company is committed to managing its business in a responsible manner towards its employees, its consumers, its clients, its distributors and towards its suppliers. We also attach a great deal of importance to our responsibility towards the local community and towards the environment.
The employees of our alcoholic beverages production plant benefited of numerous training programs.
The upper management of Alexandrion Grup benefits regularly of courses and trainings in order to attain high performances in their activities for the company.
The company’s politics of corporate social responsibility regarding charity and the involvement in the problems of the local community focus on:
Humanitarian aid
Environment
Education
Sports
Arts and culture
Health
From its birth the company was committed to offering humanitarian aid to the communities where it is active in order to resolve their social problems. That is why in 2003 the Alexandrion Grup Foundation came into existence.
Some of our charity work includes the aid offered to children with medical problems that needed expensive interventions or treatments. Also scholarships are offered and, starting with 2005, every summer the pupils from “Mihai Viteazul” National College in Bucharest that achieved outstanding results at national and international school competitions are offered a trip to Greece on behalf of the company.
Some of the company’s projects aimed to support different children's shelters and NGOs from all over the country by offering materials for reconstruction and for equipment.
Aid/Reconstruction Projects
We have ongoing projects that aim to reconstruct churches, to equip and modernize hospitals or pediatrics departments (e.g.: Budimex Hospital, Pediatrie II Cluj, Constanta ambulance Service etc.). 3 all-road vehicles were donated to the Bucharest Municipal Hospital in order to be transformed in rapid intervention vehicles.
Wanting to be always of assistance to those who find themselves in desperate situations, in December 2003 Alexandrion Group sent aids in Iran where, as a result of a powerful earthquake, over 30.000 people died and many more were left homeless. In May 2005 we helped the distressed people from the Banat area, in the Fall of the same year we participated in the program “Vedete pentru Sinistrati” (Stars for the homeless).
We offered and we financed educational programs such as: “Negru Voda” Galati children's shelter, the Child Protection Authority from Iasi, the Day and Night Shelter for Homeless Children from Timisoara, the Community Services Centre “Prichindelul” from Iasi, the “Casa Sperantei” (the house of hope) Hospice from Brasov, the “Children in Distress” foundation from Pitesti, the Brasov Red Cross, the Social Services Administration from Ploesti, the “Pas alternative” Association from Brasov, the “Holt Romania” foundation – Iasi, Save the Children, the Elderly Support Center “Mislea si Liliesti” etc.
Another campaign developed in 2004 by the Group focused on preventing drunk driving; also in 2005 Alexandrion developed a campaign to prevent child accidents due to fireworks use. Both campaigns were realized together with the Ministry of Interior and Administrative Reform.
2007 brought a change in the CSR strategy; developing our own projects became our top priority, projects such as the ecologic “Think. Recycle!” or „Don’t drink and drive!’. The Group also decided to get more involved in the life of the communities where it is active. We try to support their development and to solve local problems, all this in order to make the company's involvement generate a positive impact in these communities and to make a noticeable difference.

As a partner of the Romanian Olympic Foundation and of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Alexandrion Group decided to support the Romanian athletes’ performance by creating high standards training conditions that will allow them to achieve the best results. On a larger scale, we want to promote a healthy lifestyle, in which sport plays an important role, and this partnership will promote to young people significant values such as the ability to overcome obstacles, to achieve the set objectives and to win.
Cultural ProjectsA series of cultural projects were also supported: book launches, creative camps, plays, the Uniter Awards Gala, The Young Actor “HOP” Gala, the Johann Strauss festival, the Holograf 2003 tour, the production and launch of the movie „Moartea Domnului Lazarescu”, „Artists for Artists” project etc.
New ProjectsMany of the projects that were started in the previous years continued in 2008, but new ones were also added to the list. Some of the activities that make us proud are: the support offered to the reconstruction of “Asezamintele de la Udricani”, ancient cultural and social-religious implication centre of Bucharest, the aid offered to the people in distress from the flooded areas of Radauti and from the areas in China affected by earthquake, the sponsorship of the “Greek Parents and Tutors Association” in order to set up the first Greek school in Romania that teaches in Greek.
